Writing Style

Keep copy short
Research suggests that reading from computer screens is approximately 25% slower than reading from paper. Users generally don't enjoy reading copy from a computer screen, neither do they enjoy scrolling too much. Given these factors you should consider writing 25-50% less copy than you would for literature destined for the press.

Design for scanning
Although not aware of this fact, users typically scan screens of information for snippets of copy that may be of interest. It is therefore a good idea to develop short, snappy bits of information. Break the information up, if need be separate the content and put 'sections' of information on individual web pages.
