Ongoing Development

At RSD we believe a web site should never remain static, remember - users visit web sites for information, if that information is out of date or no longer relevant then it reflects badly on the web site and 9 times out of 10 you can bet the visitor will not return.

One of the simplest forms of ongoing development is perhaps regular web site maintenance, this could cover many different aspects of your web site and is a relatively easy and inexpensive way of showing your site audience that you are committed to keeping your site fresh and up to date.

At RSD we encourage clients to update the easy parts of their sites themselves, simple web page editing software is widely available these days for little or no cost. We like to develop sites in such a way that the client can modify 'standard' page elements without the need for knowledge of HTML and without the danger of changing or breaking any of the site's more important structural elements.

More in depth development includes site re-design or 'overhauls', this could be as straight forward as applying a new style, design or look and feel to your site or it could involve more detailed re-development of your site where you may want to introduce interactive elements etc.

Whatever you decide, it is important to commit to the long term updating and management of your web site. Carrying out small updates often is so much easier to manage (and quite a bit cheaper!) than forgetting about your web site and then deciding the whole thing needs updating.
